Faerie Tale Castles
Ravenloft Castle
New York

BY ALBERT

For almost 100 years Ravenloft Castle has been a landmark for some real and romantic stories. It lies deep in the wood upstate, New York. The construction of Ravenloft Castle was started in the early years of World War 1 and ended after three years. Although the construction was left incomplete but it beautifully represents the American culture. The castle is very amazingly designed and it has altogether thirty six rooms.

Various materials were used from different countries for the construction of the castle. Roofing slate used is from England while the marble for staircase, fire place and floor of this castle are from Italy. The Iron Gate is from France.  It is present on the National Register of Historic places.
